Essay On Importance Of Trees For All Class Students

Essay about importance of Trees

Trees are an important part of any landscaping, they provide shade on lawns or courtyards and in spring with their colorful blossoms. Gardens can look barren without trees. If there were no trees on our planet, we would have no wood to build, no shade from the hot summer sun and thus health impairment through overheating. In addition, there would be less oxygen, which means a possible lack of clean air.

Trees are an important factor in preventing soil erosion by holding the topsoil together. This topsoil is essential for the production of fruits, vegetables and other plants. In addition, trees are an important link in the food chain. They house small and large animals. Bird nests are high up in the branches. Smaller animals use tree stumps as homes or caves to protect them from predators. Imagine a world without trees to house these animals!

Trees help prevent flooding by absorbing water. They protect the rivers and streams from soil erosion. Consequently, without trees, flood damage would increase. Plants would also be affected by increased plant flooding, which could lead to malnutrition or hunger if they are not controlled quickly enough after heavy rainfall due to deforestation.

Forests are being cut at a rapid pace to meet the timber needs of people around the world. This becomes a problem as trees help control climate and rainfall by evaporating moisture from their leaves into the atmosphere – where it forms clouds that eventually produce rain. If the deforestation continues, there will not be enough  forests to do this service , which creates many problems.

Trees are naturally becoming scarcer. Without trees, the earth would lose its balance because of their numerous benefits to human life. Because this resource is so valuable to our lives, it must be preserved and protected for future generations.

Essay on Trees are Our Best Friend

Trees are the essence of life. If you can listen to the murmur of leaves, they say, "we are your best friend." Trees play a crucial role in ecology and our life. Earth will be a desert without greenery. Trees offer numerous benefits to humans, expecting just a bit of love and care, which we often ignore. They give us fruits and foods to feed, oxygen to breathe, absorb carbon dioxide, and timber to make homes. They cause rain, preserve water bodies, and prevent soil erosion and floods. Trees are grand old children of mother earth, surviving longer than human beings.

Importance of Trees

We tend to forget the contribution of trees and endlessly exploit them to meet our growing demands. Despite the vengeance, trees, like true friends, share all the right things with us. They offer the most delicious fruits to eat, seeds to cultivate, and flowers to make this world beautiful. They give us timber and firewood. From timber houses, furniture and different tools are made. From Cellulose, the fibre present in raw wood is processed to make paper. Herbs and teas come with many curative properties, effectively curing many diseases.

Villagers use firewood for cooking their meals. Woods are used to building their huts, carts, and other agricultural tools. A shade provided by a tree is an oasis in the scorching heat. The flowers with a sweet smell beautify our surroundings, and they are offered to God. On the trees, the birds build their nest and wake you up in the morning with their chirp. The butterflies collect nectar from flowers and make honey. Children play around a big mango tree and eat sweet ripe mangoes from the tree. The soothing shade and cool breeze under the tree calm our body and mind. They provide so much and always stand like a true friend.

Birds build the nest on trees, and many animals take shelter in it. The birds lay and hatch eggs on their nests. New lives emerge from the eggs and fly in the sky. Forests are the habit of many animals and birds, where they live, hunt, and prosper; without forest, they would not survive. The ecological system will be disrupted without plants and trees. Herbivorous animals like elephants, giraffes, and zebras survive eating leaves, twigs, and stems of trees. Predators like a lion, tiger, and cheetahs take rest on the shades of trees. Animals like money, squirrels, and chimpanzees take refuge in a tree, as most carnivorous animals cannot climb on a tree.

The Amazon rainforest is the lung of this earth, controlling oxygen, and carbon dioxide. The rainforest supplies around 6% of the world oxygen and absorbs the same amount of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. According to the World Life Fund, this forest is the habitat of ten percent of the world's species. The forest is the home of 1,300 species of birds,3,00 species of fishes, and 430 species of mammals.

Trees are guardians of our environment. They control global temperature by releasing moisture in the air. This moisture turns into clouds shielding us from UV rays. Forgetting all the benefits of cutting trees, we cut more trees in a minute than we plant. Nearly .5 660 trees are uprooted in a minute. Every year, 3.5 million trees are cut down. If we continue deforestation, all the rivers on the earth will dry up. If we plant trees within one kilometre on both banks, rivers will flow. Let us make a promise to plant trees to make the environment secure and make our life happy. Trees are the oldest living creatures on this earth. We must save them.

Benefits of Trees to Human and Environment

Trees are highly important to humans and the environment in general because of the various benefits that they provide. The benefits of trees can be categorized as social benefits, environmental benefits, and economic benefits.

Social benefits: Trees serve as a social house for many birds because birds generally build their nest on trees and even lay eggs there. Apart from birds, forests are home to many other animals. Destructing the natural habitat of such animals will leave them devoid of shelter and eventually become endangered. Also, humans see trees as a stress buster because of the serenity it provides. The ambiance of nature reduces tension and fatigue in individuals as well by promoting meditation and self-discovery. Trees also have religious values attached to it. They are worshipped religiously in parts of India like Peepal tree is said to resemble Lord Vishnu, the coconut tree is named after God Lakshmi, the Neem tree signifies Goddess Durga, and the Banyan tree is worshipped during various auspicious occasions. Therefore, cutting these trees is against religion and thus, forbidden.

Environmental benefits: Trees act like a guardian of the environment because they regulate the atmosphere’s temperature and maintain a balance between humidity and dryness and also reduce the effect of greenhouse gases. Apart from this, trees also facilitate the water cycle that causes rainfall and even protect the land from the harsh heat of the sun forming a protective shield and also preventing soil erosion and floods. Trees also help improve soil fertility by releasing nutrients into the soil when the tree and its parts rot.

Economic benefits: Trees also provide us with certain economic benefits as the food produced by trees is converted to other products that are also exported internationally. Timber obtained from trees is also used for making homes, schools, offices, and colleges. Also, the paper used in daily lives is another important economic product obtained from trees. Also, there are many medicines produced from trees to treat diseases like HIV, fever, mastitis, and cancer.

Over-Exploitation of Trees by the Environment and Human Race

Though trees are really significant for all the living creatures on Earth, they are still overexploited in a lot of ways. However, if we as humans keep on overexploiting forest resources at such a pace, we will surely face its after-effects and consequences in the future. The industrial sector possesses a major impact on trees as they are cutting down trees exponentially so that they can get raw materials from the forest in bulk. Apart from this, even governments cut down a lot of trees to clear land for domestic purposes.

Conclusion of ‘Trees Are Our Best Friends’

We cannot survive in this world without our friends and similarly, it is impossible to survive on this land without trees. Trees give us everything and in return, we do nothing for trees. The least that we can do for trees is to protect them from being cut and over-exploited because without them our motherland will turn into a desert. Though the government is taking measures to conserve trees, we as responsible citizens of the country should also take some effective steps to protect these non-renewable sources, that is, our trees and forests.

In today's time, the world pays little or no attention to the direct consequences of deforestation, and each one of us should take measures to protect our trees before it gets too late.

FAQs on Trees Are Our Best Friend Essay

1. What is Deforestation?

The world is becoming a jungle of concrete. Deforestation is the process of permanently removing trees to make cities and towns. Forests are cut for agriculture, gazing, or using timber for construction and furniture.30% of the earth's surface is covered by forest, which provides food, medicine, and fuel to millions of people. In 2017 earth has lost 158,000 square kilometres (about the size of Bangladesh) of the forest. Every minute, an area of forest equal to the football ground is cut down. Most forests are cut for the cultivation of palm, soya oil cultivation, and wood products.

2. How Trees Protect Us?

Trees reduce the force and speed of winds. Trees act as a shield against typhoons and hurricanes, minimizing damage to life and property. The roots of trees hold the soil, preventing soil erosion. The force of the wind is reduced when it passes through dense tree cover like mangroves. The Sundarban mangrove guards the low lying coast against excess salt deposits caused by storms and floods. The mangrove stands as a wall between the land and the sea. We must conserve and regenerate mangrove covers to save the fragile ecosystem and precious human lives.

3. How to Protect Plants?

4. How to Protect Plants?

If we want to reduce pollution and global warming, we need to conserve the tropical rainforest. Ending deforestation will not solve global warming but considerably lower it. There is a ray of hope to conserve our forests, and the process has started. Many governments, corporations, and citizens are coming forward to end deforestation, and if possible, to reverse it. You can also contribute to this effort by using both sides of the paper, using scrap paper for painting. Use cloth napkins instead of paper ones — plant trees and shrubs in your terrace and pavements. Small steps can make this world more green and beautiful.

5. How can we say that the trees are our best friends?

It is widely known that trees are our best friends because they help us in many ways as all our friends do. The most important thing that trees do for us is to provide us with oxygen, without which we cannot survive. These trees also give us a beautiful environment because of blooming flowers around us and delicious fruits to eat. The trees also protect us from natural disasters like thunderstorms, earthquakes, and floods. Apart from all this, trees also maintain the natural balance of carbon dioxide in the air by absorbing it while releasing oxygen.

6. How do human beings use plants every day?

Plants are living beings that exist in the form of huge trees, bushes, and herbs that can live on land and water as well. These plants provide many products like firewood, fibers, timber, dyes, medicines, pesticides, rubber, and oil that are used by humans for a lot of activities. Apart from human beings, trees are also of use to other living organisms like insects, small mammals, worms, reptiles, and birds which take shelter under these trees. Therefore, trees are home to a lot of living beings.

Essay on Trees for Student and Children

Trees, the majestic giants of our natural world, play a vital role in our lives and the health of our planet. In this essay, we will explore the countless reasons why trees are so essential to our environment, well-being, and the future of our planet.

The Oxygen Factory

Trees are often referred to as the “lungs of the Earth” because they produce oxygen through a process called photosynthesis. Did you know that a single tree can provide enough oxygen for two people for an entire year? Trees are the primary source of the air we breathe.

Carbon Dioxide absorption

In addition to producing oxygen, trees absorb carbon dioxide, a harmful greenhouse gas that contributes to climate change. They act as Earth’s natural air filters, helping to regulate the Earth’s temperature and combat the effects of global warming.

Habitat for Wildlife

Trees are not only essential for humans but also for countless species of animals. Forests and woodlands provide homes and shelter for a wide variety of wildlife, from birds and squirrels to larger animals like bears and deer. Without trees, many of these creatures would lose their habitats.

Biodiversity Hotspots

Forests are biodiversity hotspots, meaning they contain a vast array of plant and animal species. The rich diversity of life in forests contributes to the health and stability of ecosystems. Protecting trees means preserving biodiversity and the delicate balance of nature.

Food and Medicine

Trees provide us with more than just oxygen and shade. Many trees bear fruits, nuts, and leaves that are essential sources of food for both humans and animals. Moreover, trees have been a source of natural medicines for centuries, offering treatments for various ailments.

Soil Health

The roots of trees help prevent soil erosion by anchoring the soil in place. They also improve soil quality by increasing its nutrient content and helping it retain water. Healthy soil is essential for agriculture and food production.

Economic Benefits

Trees contribute significantly to the economy. The timber industry relies on trees for wood products, while the tourism industry benefits from the beauty and recreational opportunities that forests offer. Moreover, trees increase property values and energy efficiency in urban areas.

Expert Opinions

Environmental experts, such as Dr. Jane Goodall, emphasize the crucial role of trees in preserving our planet. Dr. Goodall advocates for tree planting initiatives and reforestation efforts to combat deforestation and its devastating effects.

Threats to Trees

Despite their importance, trees face numerous threats, including deforestation, wildfires, and climate change. Deforestation, the clearing of forests for agriculture or development, results in the loss of critical habitat and contributes to species extinction.

Our Responsibility

As stewards of the Earth, it is our responsibility to protect and preserve trees. We can do this by supporting reforestation efforts, participating in tree planting initiatives, and advocating for policies that prioritize tree conservation.

Conclusion of Essay on Trees

In conclusion, trees are not merely silent giants in our world; they are life-giving, habitat-preserving, and Earth-protecting wonders. They provide us with oxygen, shelter, and sustenance while maintaining biodiversity and combating climate change. It is our duty to recognize their significance and take action to ensure that trees continue to thrive for generations to come. Together, let us stand for the trees, our faithful allies in the quest for a healthier and more sustainable planet.

Below we have given a long essay on Trees of 500+ words that are helpful for classes 7, 8, 9, and 10 and Competitive Exam Aspirants. This long essay on the topic is suitable for students of class 7 to class 10, and also for competitive exam aspirants.

Trees are one such boon bestowed on mankind. They form such an important part of our well-being and play such a significant role in our healthy living. But man’s lust for more and more of material gains; more and more of land for their agriculture and still more for their factories and industries has resulted in the depletion of this treasure of nature, on such a large scale. The entire eco-system stands disturbed and imbalanced; the mountains have lost their lustre of greenery; the slopes stand to stare naked; the clouds float away without pouring down; the fields lie parched and dried. All this because ‘Trees’ have been trimmed, tortured, and truncated.

In our country, our ancients had evolved a method to protect this bounty of nature. Trees used to be worshipped as a deity; there was divinity attached to them; the ‘Neem’, the ‘Peepal’, the ‘Banyan’, the ‘Mango’, the ‘Maulshree’ the ‘Kadamb’, the ‘Kachnar’, the ‘Tulsi’, the Amaltash’, the ‘Ashok’ all these were deified and therefore forbidden to be cut down or even truncated. The Indian psyche, prone to be religious and devout would worship these trees on different occasions and would rather plant more and more of them rather than cause any harm to them.

Lord Krishna, during his childhood, played and danced under the shady groves of the mango trees in Brindaban. Lord Rama, during his fourteen years of exile, lived in the forests, the grass and shrubs were used in the making of his huts in ‘Panchavati’; Lord Shiva has his abode in the Himalayas all covered with forests that is how the belief goes.

Similarly did the Pagans among Greeks in the Western World worshipped nature in its various forms.

These were the ways adopted by our wise ancients to save nature and to protect the ecological balance.

Man of today calls himself a scientifically developed being and where science advances religion declines. Science relies on reason while religion relies on faith. And here arises the basic conflict. Man of today wants to achieve more and still, more whatever be the cost that he is required to pay for it even if he has to play foul with nature. This is the thinking which has led to the large scale devastation of forests.

Trees provide carbon dioxide as well as oxygen to the environment thus maintaining a balance and an equilibrium. They help in the soil formation and control soil erosion, thus saving the healthy minerals of the soil from being washed away. They impede the flush and flow of the rainwater gushing forth from the mountain slopes and thus while protecting the soil, they also save the rivers from getting unduly silted, which silting raises the level of their basins and make them overflow their banks resulting in floods.

Trees provide food and shelter to the fauna and serve as a natural habitat for them. They control landslides in the mountain region helping to save life and property. But very sad is the shape of things in our country at present. Forests are fast disappearing and this is causing very serious ecological consequences adversely affecting India’s climate, rainfall, and soil fertility. In many parts where the forest area has been depleted, the fertile topsoil built up over centuries has been washed away in one season. The regeneration of these lands will become a massive exercise which may well neigh be impossible.

Trees Essay

Below we have given a short essay on Trees is for Classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. This short essay on the topic is suitable for students of class 6 and below.

The virginal forests offer a strong temptation to encroachers and exploiters. The timber wealth provides a ready and tempting reward and, therefore, is there so much of pilferage of forest wealth and illegal felling of trees. The forest department has neither the means nor the manpower to, combat these ‘mafias’ operating in this illegal operation. Wood is a precious commodity and the fact of fact is that we are consuming four times as much wood as is being regenerated. Afforestation projects are not being able to cope with the extent of deforestation that is taking place. If our forests are to be saved, drastic steps will have to be taken otherwise the malady would reach a proportion which would become hard to remedy. Can we and should we afford to turn a large part of our country into a vast, and inhospitable wasteland? This we cannot and should not.

Therefore the beginning should be made without any further delay otherwise a stage of no-return will be reached soon. It is not the government alone that can treat the malady and rectify the wrong. A civic consciousness has to be aroused and a sense of commitment to be awakened among the masses to treat trees as a part and parcel of their own family and any injury to them be treated as if an injury to one’s near and dear ones Every child in every school should be oriented in this thinking that planting a sapling and nurturing it to its full growth in any part of the vacant land, whether within the school campus or in one’s living locality should be treated as a mission of life and achievement of an aim, as much material and significant as passing an examination to get enter a career. Those harming the flora in any manner should be punished in a deterrent manner just as causing injury to a human being.

One person one tree if this mission and message can get through India can once again regain its lost grandeur in Nature’s grand show. Plantation of trees is one of the most altruistic actions. One generation plants them and the second or the third reaps its fruits. So the planting of trees is a divinely altruistic gesture. Let the significance of this great act be understood in this manner.

Essay on Save Trees

Tree Essay Sample 1 (250 words)

Trees provide many resources – from life-saving medicines to commercially valuable goods. However, the most crucial role of trees is the production of oxygen. Without this crucial element, life on earth would probably have never existed. Trees also play an ecological role, such as preserving the soil and preventing soil erosion.

From an evolutionary perspective, trees were around for a long time. The earliest known trees may have been the Wattieza, appearing around 385 million years ago. Fossil evidence showed that it was over 26 feet tall and superficially resembled tree ferns. From this point in history, trees became diversified, with at least 60,000 living species documented to date.

Trees and Their Benefits

However, the earth we know today is a drastically different place. Ever since the industrial revolution, trees having been cut down on a large scale. Vasts swaths of forests being cleared for the expansion of industries, cities or farmlands. These actions will have drastic repercussions, both immediate and long term.

Due to the encroachment of wildlife habitat, wild animals may interact with humans, often leading to fatal consequences. Trees also serve as natural windbreaks, preventing soil erosion and providing shelter from the wind. So when such trees are cut, it is only natural to expect a calamity. Trees are also one of the significant factors in preventing global warming.

Greenhouse gases are natural and quite crucial for the earth, but anthropological activities have accelerated this phenomenon past the point where its effects are detrimental to the planet. Hence, more trees should be planted in order to ensure the survival of our species and the planet.

Tree Essay Sample 2 500+ Words

Trees are an essential part of the ecosystem. It provides many resources from food and medicine to shelter and clothing. Furthermore, trees help fight climate change and global warming. Therefore, we must conserve trees and forests. Trees have been around much longer than humans. The very first fossil evidence of trees dates back to over 385 million years. It may have looked very unusual, without any leaves or flowers. Ever since then, trees have evolved into a multitude of shapes and forms, spread across thousands of species.

Trees also hold several world records – for instance, the tallest trees in the world are the California redwoods, with specimens growing over 379 feet in height. For comparison, the height of Big Ben in London is 320 feet. Other trees, such as the General Sherman tree (Sequoiadendron giganteum) is the largest tree in the world by volume. It has an estimated weight of over 2,000 tons (or 18,14,369 kilograms). The oldest living tree ever is the Methuselah, a 4,845-year-old Great Basin bristlecone pine (Pinus longaeva).

Apart from record-setting dimensions, trees produce some of the world’s most valuable goods. The anti-malarial drug Quinine is extracted from the cinchona trees. Without this life-saving drug, malaria would have wreaked havoc on society. The Pacific Yew tree can be used to produce taxol – an effective anticancer drug. Trees also provide a source of food through various types of fruits and nuts. Popular fruits such as mangoes, apples, and oranges come from trees.

Importance of Trees

Forests are home for many species of animals, some of which are on the verge of extinction. The trees in these forests provide microhabitats to many birds, insects, and species of fungi. These organisms lose their habitat when deforestation occurs.

Human health is drastically improved when living amongst trees. Trees clean the air by trapping harmful particulates and pollutant gases (such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, ammonia, & ozone) in their branches, leaves, and bark.

The greenhouse effect is a natural phenomenon that helps the earth maintain a constant, stable temperature. In fact, without the greenhouse effect, life on earth would have never evolved. However, anthropomorphic activities have introduced more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, eventually, reaching a tipping point.

Here, the sun’s rays will get absorbed instead of being reflected back into space, thereby increasing the earth’s temperature. Trees reduce this effect by absorbing the excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. However, deforestation has drastically reduced the number of trees that can absorb carbon dioxide from the earth’s atmosphere.

If this effect continues, then scientists predict that our planet could become like Venus. Scientists even have a name for this effect; it is called the “runaway greenhouse effect.” This phenomenon is almost apocalypse-like. Oceans will start evaporating and rocks will being to sublimate. This will pump more CO2 into the atmosphere, accelerating the effect.

To prevent such a scenario, we must reduce our carbon footprint. Activities like planting a tree can go a long way in saving our planet. And if we save our planet, we are saving ourselves. Essay on Tree in Hindi and Marathi and Essay on Tree for Class 1 and Kids will update here soonly.

Then when summer is over, these same people marvel at the beauty of the leaves as they change color. These changing colors signal that colder weather is on its way and we need to start preparing for it.

Beyond this, most people do not know what good friends, trees can be. A tree shares every possible thing for us, that can be wood, fruits, Oxygen and much more.

Some couples know that the trees provide them with a little romantic security as their broad trunks shelter the couple from the glaring and intrusive looks.

Then when it is time to go, the tree stands quietly when the couple carves their initials into its tough bark to mark their important rendezvous with each other. The tree bears the pain the sharp knife brings in order to make sure the couple has their special moment.

Once that is done, the tree preserves that heart and arrow so when the couple comes back they can remember the special time the tree helped bring about. After the remembering is done, the tree looks at the happy couple walk away, still preserving their special moment hoping the couple will return again one day.

But that is not all that a tree does to show how good a friend it is. The tree lends its branches to hold the wood for that young child’s treehouse. Helping him to have hours of joy and fun high above the ground.

It also sacrifices its wood, so that people can have homes, fences, furniture and more. The tree is always giving us a little to big things, so you can have an enjoyable time in your life. That is not all, as many trees grow fruit to help you grow strong and healthy.

There are a wide variety of trees more than willing to let its fruit be taken just so you can benefit from all the minerals and vitamins the tree has provided. On top of that, it allows different animals to make their home in its branches or trunk.

Cats find refuge in the tree’s grasp when it feels it is in danger. A tree lets itself be used as a recreational toy. Boys can become strong, agile and develop motor skills as they climb the different branches just to get to the top.

A little swing tied to a branch lets little girls relax on hot summer days while letting men nap when they tie their hammocks to different trees. Then when one has gone away for a little while, the tree stands there waiting for the owner to return. Spreading its branches upon their arrival the tree seems to say welcome home.

The best sign that the tree is our best friend, is that it does all of this without complaining, demanding payment or some other selfish act. The tree is very selfless and asks for nothing in return.

That character trait we all can learn from. The tree sets the example for all to follow. That is why trees are our best friends.

They need our help since trees are essential in combating climate change and increasing pollution. There are many ways to protect trees, which is essential to maintain the planet’s biodiversity. Trees our best friend essay is an important topic for kids to understand how they are beneficial for us and the need to conserve them.

Trees are responsible for absorbing vast amounts of carbon dioxide. They also clean the air and provide oxygen for living beings. Trees help prevent soil erosion, act as a natural flood barrier, reduce drought risk and control pests, like insects that destroy crops. Besides, they help to provide clean drinking water and air. They also act as a buffer against strong wind. Furthermore, trees provide food, shelter, fuel, medicines, and so much more.

essay on tree for class 5

Importance of Trees

For thousands of years, trees have been the best friends of people. They provide us with many essential things, and they are a beautiful part of the environment. We need trees because they purify the air we breathe and provide food, shelter, and oxygen to birds, animals and humans. Trees also contribute to better soil quality and control erosion and flooding.

Without trees, our world would be a barren wasteland. Trees also help to prevent air pollution and global warming. To save the environment and protect the Earth from climate change, planting more trees is crucial – at least five trees for every person on the planet. Furthermore, trees form a living web that connects species from around the world.

Exploitation of Trees

The world is running out of trees. It is important to understand that trees provide a range of economic, social and environmental benefits. Moreover, they provide shelter from the hot sun, make the air cool in the summer, and protect the soil from erosion and weathering. Trees also reduce greenhouse gases in the atmosphere by absorbing carbon.

All the trees in a forest are a shared resource. If too many trees are cut down, some species will go extinct, and others will no longer survive. When that happens, the entire ecosystem goes out of balance. This can affect humans by making it more difficult to get clean air to breathe, kindling fires, and wood building our homes.

Many commercially valuable tree species are threatened with extinction due to excessive exploitation. In Africa, for example, the clearing of forests for timber and charcoal is having a devastating impact on wildlife and local communities.

Deforestation affects the environment and living organisms in many ways. Loss of trees can lead to problems like desertification, climate change and global warming, soil erosion, flooding, wildlife extinction and habitat loss, increase in greenhouse gas emission, etc.

Trees are the breathing lungs of the earth. We need trees more than they need humans. Industrial factors, cars, and human activities produce carbon dioxide emissions that harm the environment. The high amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere results in air pollution and increases the chances of global warming. Trees absorb carbon dioxide gas from the environment and purify the atmosphere. Without trees, we would lack enough oxygen to sustain life on the planet. Many herbivores and wild animals turn to trees to seek shelter and food. Trees’ fruits, nuts, and seeds are used to feed these animals. Trees also help fertilise the soil, maintain mineral composition, and prevent it from eroding.

Tree plantations ensure our environment does not run out of a decent oxygen supply. Global warming is becoming a problem, and the ice caps are melting because of too much air pollution. Trees absorb harmful toxins from the air and purify the atmosphere. We can say that trees are more valuable than gold, silver, and money because oxygen is essential for survival. There is no price or value we can attach to trees since they cannot be replaced. Many beautiful birds, wild creatures, and insects use trees to serve as their natural habits. Trees are crucial as they provide raw materials for making vital medicines, beauty products, furniture, etc. Most trees can be classified as Angiosperms and Gymnosperms.

Angiosperms make flowers and seeds, while gymnosperms do not. Unlike gymnosperms, they cannot reproduce without the help of animals and depend on them for spreading their pollen. The leaves of trees can absorb a significant amount of heat, and they act as nature’s filters when it comes to cleansing the air. More trees in our environment mean a lesser amount of dust, toxins, and harmful substances.

One of the best ways to deal with climate change on our planet is by planting trees. There must be increased recycling efforts, and millions of people worldwide should work together and plant more trees. Here is how to write a long essay for class 3 kids on trees:

This is the reason why going for morning walk in a park full of green trees and plants helps rejuvenate our senses and makes us feel fresh.

  • Trees Absorb Harmful Gases

Trees do not only inhale carbon dioxide but also absorb other harmful gases such as carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide from the environment. Various other pollutants are also absorbed by the trees. This process purifies air and keeps the atmosphere clean. The growing pollution in the atmosphere can be undermined by planting more and more trees.

  • Trees Provide Food

Importance of Trees Essay in our Life 500 Words

Trees: Essential for Balancing the Ecological System

Essay on Tree: Trees play a significant role in balancing and maintaining the ecological system of Earth. Green trees and plants fill the atmosphere with oxygen, purify air, prevent soil erosion, support wildlife, and aid in climate control. Here is a brief look at how trees help in all these processes to keep the ecological system intact.

Purification of Air

Our atmosphere is filled with all kinds of harmful gases including carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide to name a few. The increasing number of vehicles on the road and the growing number of factories around the world are increasing the level of these harmful gases in the atmosphere. Trees inhale carbon dioxide and exhale the pure and fresh oxygen that we human beings require for our survival. Trees also absorb other harmful gases to keep our environment clean. This is the reason why areas with greater number of trees are less polluted.

We must plant trees to purify and clean our environment.

Promote Biodiversity

Forests serve as a habitat for the wild life. Trees give shelter to numerous species of birds and animals. Thus, they promote biodiversity. Deforestation, which is one of the main concerns these days, has led to loss of biodiversity. Animals and birds are losing their habitats and finding it hard to survive. Researchers claim that, further loss of biodiversity can impact the ecological system adversely. This is because animals and plants are dependent on each other for the fulfilment of many of their needs. Planting more trees and avoiding deforestation can help boost biodiversity and maintain the ecological balance.

Prevent Soil Erosion

Heavy rains cause soil erosion that disrupts life of people living in effected areas. The roots of trees hold the soil and keep it from eroding as it rains. Big trees absorb substantial amount of water and reduce the chances of sediment deposits in the rivers. Soil erosion causes several problems such as increased level of water in rivers and streams. This harms the marine life and often even results in flood. By preventing soil erosion, trees help in maintaining the ecological balance.

Conserve Energy

Areas surrounded by trees are cooler. People living in such areas do not require keeping their air conditioners on constantly. This helps in the conservation of energy. This is also a good way to reduce the emission of harmful gases and pollutants.

Balance the Water Cycle

Trees help in balancing the water level in the atmosphere. Big trees release a good amount of water into the atmosphere. This process replenishes the clouds and results in rain. Forests around the world play a major role in the water cycle and help in maintaining the ecological system. Planting trees is the way to balance the water cycle which is important for keeping the environment intact. Deforestation, on the other hand, disrupts the water cycle which in turn has negative repercussions such as dryer soil, loss of crops, etc.

Thus, trees are extremely important for the environment. They help in maintaining the ecological system and make living possible on Earth. The more trees we plant the better environment we create for ourselves.

Importance of Trees Essay 600 Words

Trees are extremely important for us. They give us oxygen and keep our environment clean by absorbing various harmful gases and pollutants from the atmosphere. We can breathe freely and live a healthy life because of the presence of trees around. However, even as trees are so important, humans are cutting trees ruthlessly without realizing that cutting trees means putting our lives in danger.

Deforestation – The Bitter Truth

Humans are cutting forests rapidly in the name of development and urbanization. Many forests and green patches around the world have been cut in the last few decades to make place for the growing human population and to fulfil their ever increasing material demands.

More and more people, these days, are moving from rural areas to urban cities. In order to accommodate them, the residential areas in the cities are being expanded and this is being done at the cost of trees. Trees are being cut and concrete jungles are being constructed in their place. Factories, offices and residential societies are being established at places that were once surrounded by beautiful green trees.

Trees are also being cut rapidly as the requirement for wood and other materials extracted from them is increasing by the day. Houses, tools, furniture, paper, medicines and a whole lot of other things are crafted from wood. While all these things are essential for living, we must not forget that our first and foremost need for survival on Earth is oxygen. If we continue to cut forests at this rate, the required supply of oxygen will dip and it would become difficult to live on this planet.

Deforestation also means loss of habitat for wild animals. Several species of animals have gone extinct from the face of Earth in the past and numerous others are on the verge of extinction. One of the main reasons for this is deforestation. This has also increased contact between humans and wild animals and the two stay in constant fear of each other. Other impacts of deforestation include disruption of water cycle, soil erosion and increasing pollution and heat. These are all equally bad for human beings as well as animals.

Plant Trees – Promote Life

Essay on Tree: Human beings have grown accustomed to a comfortable life. Many of the things we get from trees have become a necessity for us so much so that we have become deaf and blind to the repercussions of deforestation and the forthcoming danger.

While cutting trees has become necessary to fulfil many of our essential demands it must be done in moderation. Besides, to balance the act we must take it as our responsibility to plant more and more trees. Each one of us must plant trees regularly and also take care of them. Every neighbourhood should conduct regular tree plantation activity.

Students must be given lessons on the importance of saving and planting trees. School management must also conduct regular tree plantation activity and every student must be encouraged to take part in it. The more trees we will plant the better environment we will create for ourselves and the future generations. Likewise, regular activities must also be carried out to water the trees and boost their growth. This will help them bloom faster.

The importance of trees has been stressed upon time and again. It is time we should realize that cutting trees means a threat to our own lives. Deforestation must be stopped to sustain life on Earth. The loss of trees must be replenished by planting many more of them. Every individual should plant trees and contribute towards keeping the environment clean.

Improving Forest Cover

When we talk about forest cover, we do not merely refer to planting new trees but also improving the degraded forest land. To meet the fulfilments of the demand for timber and non-timber forests, we need to have a comprehensive approach to enhance the forest cover.

Forests are being wiped out and trees are being cut down at a rapid rate. To meet the other needs of humans, we are losing sight of the bigger picture. People need to take steps to improve the forest cover rather than decrease it. The government must regulate the cutting down of trees. We must adopt roper methods which ensure the regrowth of trees. This way, we will be able to fulfill both the needs.

Furthermore, we must control forest fires. We must adopt the latest techniques which will help in fire fighting more efficiently. This will prevent further loss of trees and animals. Most importantly, afforestation plus reforestation must be practiced. The people and government must plant new trees in place of the one cut down. Moreover, they must plant trees in new areas to develop a forest.

In short, forests are a great blessing of nature. Various types of forests are home to a thousand animals and also means of livelihood for numerous people. We must recognize the importance of forests and take proper measures to tackle the issue of deforestation.
