The Professional Certificate in Clinical Education is available to health professionals who supervise students, new graduates, and/or staff within their work roles.

Single course: $900

Complete certificate: $1,800

50% course discount for health professionals residing in MMM 2-7. The Modified Monash Model (MMM) categorises all Australian locations as urban, regional, or remote. Check to see if your community falls within this range .

The purpose of this Professional Certificate is to increase your understanding, skills and expertise in supervising learners in the workplace through applying teaching & learning principles and approaches within the work setting.

The Professional Certificate in Clinical Education consists of two courses.  (1) Being a Health Professional and (2) Supervising & Facilitating Learners. Recommended order of completion is course 1 Being a Health Professional followed by course 2 Supervising & Facilitating Learners.

Courses cannot be completed concurrently.

The program is delivered is delivered entirely online.  It is expected you will have sufficient computing skills to engage in online learning, word processing, and browsing the internet.  You will also require reliable access to the internet to access the online learning resources.

The Professional Certificate in Clinical Education is comprised of two 4.5 unit courses (a full year load is 36 units).  The Professional Certificate is delivered entirely online.  Each course is delivered over 10 weeks, equating to approximately 10-14hrs of study per week.

Participants who complete the Professional Certificate in Clinical Education are encouraged to check if they are eligible for credit when applying for further studies.

• Both courses contain written assessment activities.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

The B-BBEE MDP is an initiative of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition ( the dtic ) to provide a standardised national curriculum for the B-BBEE verification industry. Unisa’s Graduate School of Business Leadership is one of only two institutions selected to partner with the dtic to deliver this programme. The target group is existing or prospective B-BBEE verifiers, B-BBEE consultants, private and public practitioners. This programme equips candidates with the tools and knowledge to work within the provisions of the B-BBEE Act 53 of 2003 and its various legislative updates, as well as other relevant policies. Qualified candidates would be suited to various positions in the B-BBEE space or to practise as Verification Professionals.

Fundamental Management Programme (FMP)

Fundamental management programme (fmp) - r30 000.

This programme aims to equip entry-level managers with the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills to handle fundamental management tasks and be team leaders in rapidly changing organisations.  First-level managers such as supervisors and superintendents, as well as small business managers, enrol in the FMP to gain the management background necessary for self-development and promotion.  Some students also use the FMP as a bridging course before embarking on more advanced management development programmes. The FMP has streams for participants from both the business and public sectors.

Leading for Innovation (LFI)

Leading for innovation (lfi) - r16 000.

Few words in business and other organisations are used as often and as incorrectly as ‘innovation’. Yet, despite this lack of understanding on what innovation is and how to develop innovative organisations, it remains one of the most important functions of any organisation. In this course we focus on how to lead for innovation, exploring the processes and practices that leaders can use to boost innovation in their organisations.

In an environment that is increasingly digital, fluid and unpredictable, executives in both the public and private sectors must be adept strategists and innovators. The EDP, which uses the latest business technologies, develops executives to manage and lead organisations in strategic decision-making cognisant of global, national and organisational contexts. The programme combines global management insight, leadership acumen, strategic-thinking skills and hands-on implementation of e-business applications, a skills set that lends itself to success in the ever-changing information economy. Advanced Project Management (APM)

In a world where every business is a technology business, practitioners and business leaders are required to bring into organisations fresh ideas and perspectives, and early warnings of coming change. BBBEE Executive Development Programme

Broad-based black economic executive development programme (bbbbee-edp) - r56 000.

In 2020 the B-BBEE Commission released a report on the National Status and Trends on broad-based economicempowerment (B-BBEE) for the calendar year 2019. Accordingto the report, for real and accelerated broad-based blackeconomic empowerment to be achieved, the mandatorycomponents of the B-BBEE Act must be applied consistently byboth the private and public sectors. In line with the concernsidentified in the report, during the period 2017 - 2019, theprogramme addresses the need for the development of anefficient transformation management tool to meet the changingtrends and industry challenges of the country to increase andstimulate the pace of transformation in the economy.
